How to Make Homemade Smoked Salmon Crostini

Ingredients:
For the crostini:

  • Baguette or French bread, sliced into thin rounds
  • Olive oil

For the spread:

  • 113g cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

For assembling:

  • Smoked salmon slices
  • Red onion, thinly sliced
  • Capers
  • Fresh dill, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet.
  3. Brush both sides of the bread slices with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the crostini are golden and crisp. Remove from the oven and let them cool.
  5. In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream or Greek yogurt, chopped dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  6. Mix until well combined and smooth. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
